Most small-business websites are slow, bloated with third-party scripts, and rented from a page builder that owns your content and charges you every month to keep it online. When you want a change, you wait on an agency queue. When you want to move, you find out the site was never really yours.

I build the other kind: fast, secure sites and web apps that you own outright, on infrastructure that costs almost nothing to run. As a senior IT contractor I treat a website the way I treat any other production system — version-controlled, documented, and handed off so it keeps working long after the engagement ends. I do it remote-first from Fort Worth and across the DFW metro.

What done looks like

Done is a site that loads in well under a second, scores in the 90s on Core Web Vitals, and reads correctly to both people and the search engines and AI assistants that send you work. It ships with the SEO and structured data built in from day one — clean metadata, JSON-LD schema, a sitemap, and an llms.txt so AI engines can quote you accurately — not bolted on after launch.

You get the whole thing in your own hands: the source in your Git repository, the site running on your Cloudflare account, the domain in your name, and a short runbook for how to deploy a change. How I work it, and why me

The stack is deliberately boring and durable: Astro, Tailwind, and TypeScript, deployed to Cloudflare Pages and Workers, with KV or D1 when a project needs to store data. Static where it can be, dynamic where it has to be, and secure by default — strict content-security and other hardening headers come standard, because securing systems is the rest of my work.

Same method I bring to every engagement: I scope the build to a defined window, work from a plan, and leave you with deliverables you can maintain. Beyond brochure sites I build internal tools and authenticated web apps — the kind with logins, dashboards, and background jobs.
